24:17 He said to David, “You are more innocent ¹  than I, for you have treated me well, even though I have tried to harm you!

1 Samuel 31:2-3

31:2 The Philistines stayed right on the heels ²  of Saul and his sons. They ³  struck down Saul’s sons Jonathan, Abinadab, and Malki-Shua. 31:3 Saul himself was in the thick of the battle; ⁴  the archers ⁵  spotted him and wounded him severely.
